We get calls and texts nearly every single day about a family that needs our help. The biggest obstacle these families face is the language barrier. Some of the crucial services our volunteers provide include:

Become a Mentor
Amshera has quickly grown to helping over 70 individual Afghan families with a relatively small team, and there is only so much time that each person can give each day. One of the best ways to help is to become a mentor. A mentor will work on a more one-on-one level with one or multiple families. Your mentorship could be short term or long term depending on the amount of commitment you are able to provide.
No matter how much you can provide, it’s extremely appreciated and helpful. Becoming a mentor for Afghan refugee families will help them become more independent and have the resources they need to adjust to living in a new country.
